The novel charlie and the chocolate factory is great, as well as the film. The film director Tim Burton, did an amazing job interpretting the novel into the film. Although, the film and novel have some diffrences they have many similarities. In my following paragraphs i will be discussing the similarities between the novel and film. As well as all the diffrences between the novel and film.

In the film, and novel charater discriptions are a huge subject. During, all the charater discriptions the film doesn't always follow the novel. In the novel it describes Willy Wonka, with a black top hat, pearly gray gloves, a tail- coat made of a beautiful plum-colored velet, and in one hand he carried a fine gold-topped walking cane. Also with bottle green trousers, and with marvelous bright eyes, a small neat pointed black beard on his chin. In the film, Willy wonka looks very much diffrent. Willy Wonka, had no beard, his gloves were black, and his trousers weren't bottle green.

Through-out the novel, all the Oompa-Loompas' seemed so much more cheerful, and happy. Compared to the film, the Oompa Loompas' seemed, really sirious, which wasn't that much fun to watch. Even, though they were sirious, i did enjoy all the singing scenes. In the novel, when Mrs. gloop's son got stuck in the pipe, the Oompa Loompa took a look at Mrs. Gloop and exploded into peals of laughter. During that scene in the film, it was very diffrent, The Oompa Loompa didn't laught at all when he saw Mrs.Gloop.
At the end, the film ends diffrently than how it ends in the novel. In the novel, Charlie and Willy Wonka smash through and charlie was happy with his family. In the ending of the film, Willy Wonka and charlie go and visit Willy Wonka's father. Then Willy Wonka,is eating dinner at charlie's home.Even,If they endings are diffrent they both end with happieness and joy:).
In conclusion, both the film and novel were great! In my opinion the book was fasinating to read and it didn't bore me at all, or make me sleepy compared to any other book i've read in the past. I really recommend anyone to either watch the movie, or read the book.
